Kelsey Ann Rose is a lifestyle and interior photographer based in New York City. Her passion for visual communication originates from a long line of creative women in her family. Graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology with a BFA in Graphic Design, Kelsey enjoys working to communicate a message through imagery, while being challenged to maintain a brand’s cohesive voice and aesthetic. Kelsey’s passion drives her easy-going and relaxed approach to shooting. Her images resulting in honest and unique snapshots.
How did you get started in photography?
I’ve loved photography since I was a kid—starting with disposable cameras at birthday parties and then art directing backyard Myspace photoshoots. My first real step into it came in high school, when I began charging to shoot senior portraits at the local nature preserve!
Tell us a bit about your process and how you work with your clients.
I like to keep the process as collaborative as possible. Every project feels like a celebration for the designers—after all, they’ve spent months (sometimes years!) bringing these spaces to life. I bring my own creative eye, but it’s their ‘baby,’ and I want them to feel that same pride and excitement when they see the final images. With experience in both residential and commercial spaces, my goal is always to make each project look just as beautiful on screen as it does in real life.
What sets you and your business apart from others?
There are lots of talented photographers out there, but I like to think my no-ego, collaborative approach sets me apart. After all, a great team makes a great photograph.
NYC is known for very challenging spaces. What advice would you give to those looking to photograph their home?
Find a photographer who has experience in small city spaces – it’s a specific skill set all it’s own! Then utilize any and every bit of natural light you can get your hands on.

What is your favorite thing about working in photography? I love that no two days look the same and that I get to collaborate with so many amazing, passionate creatives!
