This client was looking for a total refresh, starting at the front door and running all the way through the kitchen, living room, and master bedroom.
It was important that the space work for the client to work, relax and entertain, but also for her young son to eat and play without worrying about ruining anything. Each piece needed to feel special and whimsical without feeling childish, and a top priority was creating space for her growing plant collection.
We begin every project with a set of principles that come from our client’s own words:
The key moves here are: removing the dining table and chairs, replacing the stainless steel counter with an island complemented by dining stools, moving the television opposite the sofa where the dining table had been, and flipping the layout of the bedroom. Customized wallpapers and fabrics create a whimsical vibe the client wanted while wall shelves provide plenty of child-safe space for her urban garden.

“One of the first things that drew me to Madelaine, which is very clear from her diverse portfolio, is that she never imposes her personal style on her clients.”
