My own award-winning apartment!
I moved into this home to start a fresh chapter in my life and design studio. I wanted to embrace joyful colors, luxurious textures, and playful patterns, as well as supporting & showcasing as many other female/LGBTQIA+/BIPOC artists as possible.
Since I work from home, it was important to create dedicated and beautiful spaces for work, rest, and play, along with plenty of clever and sneaky storage.
We begin every project with a set of principles that come from our client’s own words:
The key moves here are: highlighting the windows and open city views with full-length drapery and air conditioner covers, embracing one major pattern in each room, using the fan/ginkgo motif in myriad ways, selecting double-duty furnishings, adding all the art the walls could hold, and of course sneaky storage.

“[The Ginkgo Garden] is a little jewel box with a consistent vibe, fueled by a common thread of color that ties every aspect of the space together.”
